We believe that it is only through an understanding of racism that we as a community can begin to organize to undo its harmful legacy, and that goal starts with supporting our youth.

R.O.C.K. Mat-Su is partnering with Chickaloon Village Traditional Council and Knik Tribal Council to host a Face to Face: Confronting Racial Inequities FREE Workshop.for YOUTH (14-19yrs Old).

-------------------------------- Undoing Racism --------------------------------
Attendees will learn from the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond about the foundations of race and racism in the United States, and how racism continually functions as a barrier to reaching our full potential as individuals and as a community. https://www.pisab.org/

----------------- Alaska Native Dialogues on Racial Equity -----------------
First Alaskans' trained facilitators will guide attendees through a day of healing dialogue. Based on Indigenous principles and values, the ANDORE conversations will create a safe space to allow individuals to heal and move forward in a positive and powerful way. One of the main project goals is to eliminate the root cause of racism in Alaska, and to build understanding of its context and the systemic nature of its impacts. https://firstalaskans.org/alaska-native-policy-center/racial-equity/
