Healthy Families Strategy 4 Increase Access to BH Care

Increase Access to Behavioral Health Care for Children and Parents

The goal is that all Mat-Su schools offer students and families accessible and timely on-site counseling from community providers for mental health, social-emotional support, and improved academic performance.

Systems Work

In the last several years, the Mat-Su Health Foundation has provided grant funding to the following local schools and behavioral health providers to provide behavioral health services on site for students with emerging problems: Mat-Su College, Valley Pathways, Redington High School, Burchell High School, Sunshine Community Health Center, Dena’ina Elementary School, and Sutton Elementary School.
