The Mat-Su Health Foundation offers grants to help improve the health and wellness of Alaskans living in the Mat-Su. Some of our grants are open year-round, while others open for specified periods. Please review our grant guidelines to learn more.
How to Apply for Grants and Scholarships
Each type of grant we offer has its own page on this website and its own application. All applications must be submitted online. Please click on the grant you are interested in below:
Coronavirus Prevention and Response (CPR) Grants
Grants of up to $50,000 to support Mat-Su nonprofits as they address unplanned expenses and/or lost revenue relating to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Applications submitted under this program will receive expedited handling. Assistance securing a line of credit is also available.
Healthy Impact Grants (over $15,000)
To fund projects in excess of $15,000, which improve the health and wellness of people living in the Mat-Su Borough.
Discovery Grants (over $15,000)
To fund projects in excess of $15,000, which address findings and/or recommendations found in specific Mat-Su Health Foundation-sponsored research.
Target Wellness Grants ($15,000 or less)
To fund projects projects $15,000 or less which improve the health and wellness of people living in the Mat-Su Borough.
Scholarships – Amounts vary
Each year we award scholarships to residents of the Mat-Su Borough pursuing health-related careers. The number of scholarships given each year and the amount of each award varies.
