Mat-Su Health Foundation is proud to invest in our community by providing a range of grants, scholarships, and sponsorships. Whether you are seeking funding to support your organization’s mission or further your education, we invite you to explore current opportunities and share your goals with us.
Each type of funding opportunity has its own page and its own application. All applications must be submitted online. Please select the grant, scholarship, or sponsorship that you are interested in below.
Grants
Target Wellness Grants
These grants provide up to $25,000 in funding to support work across our funding priorities.
Healthy Impact Grants
These grants are for projects over $25,000 that support work across our funding priorities
Technical Assistance Grants
These grants help nonprofits acquire specialized services or skills needed to operate effectively.
Scholarships
Academic Scholarships
For diplomas or degrees (associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral) in health or human services at accredited post-secondary institutions.
Apply Jan 2027
Vocational Scholarships
For short-term training (a few months to less than two years) in health or human services careers (e.g., CNA, Addiction Counselor, Medical Billing, and Post-Graduate Certificates).
Professional Development & Training Scholarships
For training programs or conference attendance for executive directors, board members, and staff in Mat-Su nonprofits, governmental and tribal organizations, community councils, and faith-based organizations.
Sponsorships
Grantee Loan Program
Event Sponsorships
Funding up to $2,500 to local community organizations for events related to health and wellness that benefit residents of the Mat-Su.
In case of delay in distributed grant funds from the State of Alaska or Medicaid payments to MSHF grantees, MSHF and Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union (MVFCU) may provide short-term, low-interest rate loans to affected MSHF grantees.
