Funds will be used to support flexible cash assistance for Mat-Su participants and a portion of wages for staff serving the Mat-Su.

Alaska Professional Volunteers is a 100% Volunteer Service that provides standby Emergency Medical Services to community events to ensure the safety and health of participants. Funding will be used to purchase routine medical supplies to provide medical support for events in the Mat-Su.
Palmer MomCo is a group where moms can find connection, encouragement, and a sense of belonging through meaningful relationships, helpful resources, and engaging activities. Funds will support childcare, snacks, and thank you gifts for speakers and participants taking on leadership roles.
The Return to Dirt Mat-Su project is designed to expand safe, inclusive outdoor recreation opportunities for individuals living with physical disabilities within the Mat-Su. This request will support the purchase of a sure grip push-tilt hand control, safety helmets and goggles to increase participant safety.

Grant funds staff capacity to leverage federal funding through Denali Commission.
The 2026 Employee Benefit held by Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District (MSBSD) is a strategic initiative designed to educate, engage, and empower employees to make informed decisions about their health, financial well-being, and available benefits. MSHF funding will support funding snacks and coffee for vendors, decorations, merch, Denali Fitness punch cards, Mat –Su Trail Parking Passes and MSBSD Pool Passes.
Sunshine Community Health Center Families in Crisis Funding assists patients with unmet emergent needs relating but not limited to food, utilities, fuel, or other essential basic living expenses.
