R.O.C.K. Mat-Su envisions all children are safe, healthy, and thriving

  • Strengthening families so all children thrive in a safe, healthy, and equitable community; and
  • Ending child abuse and neglect, and reducing adverse childhood and community experiences.

In 2014, a group of influential champions in the fields of child protection, early childhood education, behavioral health, primary care, tribal health, infant learning, and education started exploring how they could improve the wellbeing of children and their families. This commitment evolved into R.O.C.K. Mat-Su’s narrowed focus of strengthening families and ending child abuse and neglect.

The R.O.C.K. Mat-Su collaborative addresses barriers that keep children and families from thriving. With an eye toward long-term solutions, R.O.C.K. Mat-Su focuses on understanding how community-serving systems may harm children and families, and then takes steps to improve policies and practices so that all families have what they need to be successful.
