Community Health Needs Assessment
Every three years, we partner with Mat-Su Regional Medical Center (MSRMC) and community organizations to collect population health data and perspectives from across our borough to guide community health improvement priorities in Mat-Su, for Mat-Su. Our most recent Community Health Need Assessment (CHNA) was published in 2025.
The 2025 CHNA was guided by a 24-member steering committee of community leaders, representing community members, service providers, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations. These community partners helped gather input from more than 1,700 residents to assess local health conditions in the Mat-Su.
The 2025 CHNA combines quantitative data with community input and storytelling to provide a clear and actional picture of current strengths, needs, and challenges across the borough. As a next step, MSHF and MSRMC will collaboratively develop the Community Health Improvement Plan, translating CHNA findings into shared strategies and actions.
