Director of Philanthropy

The Director of Philanthropy (DoP) works with the Chief Community Impact Officer (CCIO) and the Philanthropy Team to provide strategic and tactical leadership to accomplish MSHF’s mission across grantmaking. The Director of Philanthropy is a senior leader responsible for recognizing and cultivating opportunities based upon community conditions and data to improve the health of Mat-Su residents through grantmaking. The DoP manages a team of senior program officers and oversees a Philanthropy Team, consisting of programs officers, program associate, and program assistant with diverse skills and expertise.

Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is a senior operational leader responsible for executing and sustaining the Foundation’s day-to-day operational functions, including grants management operations, information technology, facilities, and administrative services. Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), this role ensures that operational systems, processes, and teams effectively support organizational priorities and performance. This role operates under the strategic direction of the CAO and is accountable for executing operational priorities, systems, and improvements within the Foundation’s enterprise operating model. The Director of Operations serves as a key execution partner—bringing structure, discipline, and continuous improvement to operational work—while escalating enterprise-level risks or decisions requiring executive judgment to the CAO.

Board Liaison

The Board Liaison will be the primary point of contact for all MSHF board related work alongside the President & CEO. This role will drive board activities, logistics, agenda and board packet development and be the main point of contact for board members to get information on upcoming events or activities. The Board Liaison will coordinate with the MSHF Executive Office and Leadership team to ensure administrative and logistical support for both the executive office and preparation for any board activity, including the development of timely and accurate materials.

Scholarship Program Associate

The Scholarship Program Associate plays a crucial role in the administration and advancement of the MSHF scholarship program. Their primary role is to support the entire lifecycle of the scholarship process. The Associate supports the development and execution of application, selection, and award processes, and collaborates with educational institutions and stakeholders to further the Foundation’s mission.

Philanthropic Program Assistant

The Philanthropic Program Assistant provides primary administrative support to the philanthropic team and backup support for all administrative positions in the organization as necessary. Key responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and documenting a high volume of meetings and events, serving as a primary point of public contact, reaching across various constituencies including grantees and other partners, handling official and confidential correspondence. This position provides support with procurement, financial and database processes as well as document preparation for board meetings.

Community Resource Specialist

The Connect Mat-Su Community Resource Specialist is part of a dynamic team providing information and referral services to the Mat-Su community. In alignment with MSHF mission and Connect Mat-Su programmatic goals, this position works with Connect Mat-Su team members to develop and maintain a database of health and social services resources within Mat-Su and serves as the first point of contact for community outreach to develop and strengthen relationships with community members, community-based organizations, providers, and programs. The Community Resource Specialist is responsible for ensuring program success through all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
