Mat-Su Homelessness System Phase 1 project.This grant supports the first phase of a two-phase project that is aimed at creating a Mat-Su Homelessness Prevention and Response System based on the recommendations provided by the Mat-Su Homelessness Action Plan. It will support the creation of a Community Homelessness Action Board, the hiring of a Homelessness System Lead who will be tasked with organizing a community-wide coalition to address homelessness and advance solutions; and assembling a Housing Research Team that will conduct landlord engagement and develop and inventory of available rental units.
