Desiree Hacker is studying nursing at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She says she was drawn to the program because she loves people and, even more, loves to help people! Desiree plans on working as a nurse in corrections, a recovery center or as a nurse in the beauty industry once she completes her program.

She says, “The best study tip I have is to stay on top of assignments, don’t miss class, be on time and don’t procrastinate!” Outside of school, Desiree enjoys spending time with her kids fishing, hunting, hiking and cooking. She says, “MSHF is a life saver and truly a blessing!”
