Matanuska Community Farmers Market Operational Assistance project. Grant makes it possible for Matanuska Community Farmers Market – a new Palmer-based nonprofit – to improve its capacity to connect local farmers with Mat-Su residents seeking local food and farm products. The market enables SNAP, AFMA Market Match, WIC, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Local Food Purchase Assistance participants in Mat-Su to benefit from federal/state dollars that otherwise would be left unused.
