Women and Youth Fall Wellness Ride
Rally in the Valley 10U Half Ice Jamboree event
Recycling in Talkeetna is a collaborative effort of the Recycling Committee of Talkeetna Community Council, funding will be used for the purchase electric pallet jack, spare tire, and shipping fees to enhance safety and efficiency, making it possible to increase recycling operations to two days each week.
The Vets-Giving event provides veterans with a warm Thanksgiving meal and an opportunity to connect with others. This event fosters connection and support during a time of year that can be especially challenging for those experiencing isolation.
Funding supports Burchell and Valley Pathways afterschool programs with healthy snacks.
Colony Middle School XC Ski Clubs an afterschool club that promotes equitable access by removing financial barriers to participation. Funds will be used to cover travel to and from Government Peak, to purchase healthy snacks for the participants, and for new ski gear to accommodate more participants.
Sunshine Community Health Center offers affordable health care to our Northern Valley communities. This grant provides staff with access to in-person and online training opportunities to build internal organizational capacity. Funds will support registration fees, perdiem, mileage and lodging.
Funding will support core operating costs for Chanukah 2026, an inclusive community celebration that fosters connection, belonging, and generosity through shared events and activities.
Grant funds personal-hygiene items for Mat-Su Food Bank to provide at its on-site pantry and through its network of partner pantries.
The Home Fire Campaign operated by American Red Cross provides assistance and support to Mat-Su residents affected by a home fire and community resources to prevent home fires.
This grant will fund grooming equipment for Skiku to use for their skiing program at the APU Kellogg campus.
Meadow Lakes Seniors provides independent senior housing to the Mat-Su community. Funds will be used for 2026 annual inspections and services to ensure systems are functioning safely and properly, especially during winter months when reliable heating, plumbing, other building systems are essential.
