This award will fund technical assistance to assist Skeetawk in developing a bank-ready pro forma for the next phase of development.
Food Boxes support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Funding will be used to purchase food items for the preparation & distribution of food boxes, as well as 15% indirect costs.
Native Youth Olympics celebrates Alaska Native cultures and diversity while promoting the values of health, wellness and social connectedness among youth. Funds will support travel, coaches and officials, practice facility expenses, transportation, meals and snacks, supplies, and athlete recognition.
Brave Heart will open a trauma-informed maternity home to provide safety and stability to pregnant and unhoused people along with providing access to community-based services and health care.
Beacon Hill Funds supports vulnerable children and families through family connection, stability, and essential care. Funding will cover Alaska Humanities Forum workshop and training fees for staff.
Funds will be used to procure consulting services.
Funding supports WASI’s construction of an accessible, affordable senior housing complex. Moose Meadows will have 40 independent living apartment units for adults 55 and older including 32 income based units and 8 market rate units.
Subsidize the participant cost for Mat-Su youth enrolled in the 2027-2029 “ski bus” seasons.
United Way of Mat-Su Resource Guides connect real needs to resources and support organizations that provide these vital services while empowering our community.
Support of the Alaska Afterschool Network’s (AAN) operations helps its work with Mat-Su afterschool and youth-serving programs. AAN engages Mat-Su providers in Youth Program Quality assessments and offers professional development.
Funding will support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of junior high and high school students through participation in Brightways Learning’s Phlight Club & program related expenses, CPR, First Aid certification training, physical activity opportunities, and transportation.
The Community Tax & Financial Outreach Foundation provides free tax preparation and financial wellness services to Mat-Su residents. Funding will support the launch of the Financial Wellness & Free Tax Preparation Initiative to improve financial stability and overall well-being through tax preparation assistance, financial education, and community outreach.
