The fifth annual Mat-Su Veterans Resource Fair returns on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla. This free event provides information, resources, educational opportunities, and community support for Veterans and their families.

“2026 celebrates five years of bringing veterans, their families, and service providers together to connect, share resources, and strengthen our community,” said event coordinator Penney Champney. “Over the course of five years, we’ve welcomed 72 participating agencies and more than 500 veterans and family members annually.”

Along with spending time together, attendees can find:

  • Community Resources: Local support networks and community organizations will be on hand to discuss ways they can assist Veterans and their families.
  • Information and Counseling: Veterans and their families will have access to expert advice on benefits, mental health, career guidance, educational opportunities, housing, and caregiver support.
  • Health and Wellness: Organizations specializing in Veterans’ health and wellness will provide information on physical and mental well-being.

The Mat-Su Veterans Resource Fair is free and open to all Veterans, military personnel, and their families and friends. This event aims to create a supportive atmosphere for Veterans to connect with the resources and services they need to thrive.

“We are deeply grateful to the veterans who have served our country and to the dedicated organizations and providers who continue to serve those who served,” Champney added. “Together, we make the Mat-Su Valley a stronger, more connected community and an exceptional place to live, work, and play!”
